What we do ?
ICRI aims to provide an overview of the long standing refugee presence in Iran that spans over 4 decades in the hopes of raising awareness, raising funds ,and encouraging the presence of more INGO’s in Iran .ICRI has facilitated the entry and operationality of its members and many other NGO’s especially in times of influx or natural disasters such as the earthquake in Bam.
Capacity building has become a part of ICRIs mandate .It has served as a Sphere focal point for more than 20 years and has translated the 2004, 2011 and 2018 editions of the Sphere handbook into Farsi .ICRI has also conducted dozens of Sphere trainings nationwide .
ICRI's mandate:
- to encourage and support NGO’s that work with refugees
- to disseminate information on the refugee situation
- to develop the capacities of local NGO’s And other stakeholders that work with refugees
- to serve as a facilitation unit for incoming NGO’s
